Here’s what your colleagues think:

“In contrast to a standard product, deciding to opt for such a product extends from the planning phase right through to construction. Solarlux has been very supportive right from the start.”

Less wall –
but more value
Less wall – but more value
The construction value chain
We acknowledge and understand the architectural value chain. More than that: we see ourselves as part of it. As the inventors of the bi-folding door, we know all about the value of reliable, detailed planning and how important it is for installation and assembly. Our contribution to your project will always go above and beyond simply making and providing the product.
A manufacturer of systems
All of our systems are actually made by us – and us alone. Unlike others on the market, we will take the ideas we draw up together with you, and without further ado use them to create a detailed plan and schedule, and manufacture your product ourselves. We’ll even take care of the installation – if you want us to, of course.
Expertise
Here at Solarlux, we know we can always rely entirely on our own expertise – from our measuring technicians to our designers, our developers, and even our in-house installation service, who are experts not only in our own products, but also in the ins and outs of real-estate construction sites and the scheduling requirements involved. If you want, our staff can even provide expert assistance when it comes to your acceptance of works. For us, flexibility isn’t just about the boundaries between spaces. Try us out for yourself and see!
Teamwork
The bridge from us to you: our architects, architectural consultants, technicians and engineers are full-time members of the Solarlux team, and will work closely with our project development staff to give you the best advice possible. But while the symbiosis between our design and engineering staff is impressive, it’s still you who calls the shots.
"The detail makes the design"
What’s that supposed to mean? Well... If we’re not involved in working out the structural connections ourselves, or if we don’t possess the necessary expertise with regard to sound insulation or air circulation rates, when discussing energy and construction aspects, or if you require clarification on structural matters relating to glass or wind loads, we also have our own labs and testing facilities, simulation options, and our network of expert partners helps us handle any technical matters.

The pioneers of solar architecture
We see ourselves as the pioneers of solar architecture – and with the construction of the Solarlux Campus a few years ago, we have proven once again just how much is possible with intelligent climate engineering. Large-scale transparency dissolves the boundaries between inside and the outdoors – but it also offers much more besides. The double-skin facade of the Campus – a combination of the SL 25 sliding glass system and cero sliding windows – acts as a climate buffer zone in summer, while in winter and the cooler months it generates a yield of solar energy. Together with geothermal energy and a cogeneration unit, this brings the Solarlux Campus in line with KfW 55 requirements. The gigantic photovoltaic system on the roofs of the production areas generates an output of 1.5 MWp and covers almost 70% of the building’s electricity requirements. The rest is provided by the cogeneration unit. The resulting carbon offset is more than the combined emissions of 400 four-person households – per year. But our path towards energy neutrality doesn’t stop there. Right now, we are working on a way to use hydrogen as a source of both readily available and stored energy, so we can become completely energy-neutral.
Solarlux Worldwide
We’re always on top of the latest issues – and never far away when you need us. We possess an excellent understanding of climate neutrality, carbon offsetting, sustainability, and of town planning tasks such as densification, repurposing and the retrofitting of buildings. Not to mention our expertise in architectural design! Gather solutions specific to your projects, and gain an insight into the range of services we offer.
